Q. How can I schedule check disk in windows.

Solution:

  1. Open My Computer.
  2. Select the Hard disk Partition on which eScan is installed.
  3. Right click on it and click on properties.
  4. Go to Tools tab, click on check now button under Error-checking category.
  5. It will prompt check disk options. Select option (a) Automatically fix file system errors and click on start button.
  6. It will then start a checkdisk utility. If it prompts you that Windows was unable to complete the disk check, then click on OK button. It will prompt you next message to schedule the check disk for the next reboot. Then simply click on Yes button.
  7. If it doesn't prompt that message then again follow the above steps starting from 4th Step
  8. And once it scheduled please click on OK button, to close properties window.
  9. Now restart the computer and then let the checkdisk complete.

NOTE: Also you can schedule the same through command line. For this please refer this link.
