Q. eScan Monitor/firewall notification not getting updated in Windows Security center if WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) database is corrupted. Solution: In order to repair WMI which places the eScan Monitor and firewall status in the Windows Security Center, Please use the following procedure Open an elevated command prompt Use the winmgmt.exe to check the consistency of WMI database using the command "winmgmt /verifyrepository". It will verify if there's any inconsistency with the database. If the need arises use command "winmgmt /salvagerepository" to repair it.
