eScan Error Messages

  1. I am getting eScan dump error in eScan version 10.
  2. While opening MS Outlook I get the error messages "Cannot load AVPMain.dll" and "Error initializing engine functions".
  3. When I am trying to scan my system it gives error in all files “ERROR!!! Unable to get Database Info.. return 8004025d”?
  4. "Exception ESocketException in module ESERV.EXE at 000463E3.Error 10104 in function socket. Not a WinSock Error".
  5. ISA Server-ERROR 500:(The ISA Server detected a proxy chain loop. There is a problem with the configuration of the ISA Server routing policy. Please contact your server administrator.)
  6. ISA Server-Error Code 12206: Proxy chain loop Background: The gateway has detected a proxy chain loop. This condition might indicate a configuration problem on a proxy server.
  7. In Windows 7 (64-Bit OS) Action Center "eScan Corporate Version is ON but it is no longer supported by this Operating System. Please contact your vendor."
  8. I get the “system restore encountered an error trying to enable/disable one or more drives” error.

    Answer:



If you happen to face eScan dump error problem, make sure that you try to reproduce it. If it is reproducible, please do the following settings:

a. Go to regedit
b. HKLM/Software/Microworld/eScan for windows/Mwmonitor ==> Change the value of Reg_Dword debug = 1
c. Disable & Enable the Monitor once.
d. Then try to reproduce the problem.
e. If it gets reproduce hard boot the system.
f. Start the system in SAFE MODE.
g DO NOT start the system in normal mode, otherwise the logs will get deleted.
h. After booting in safe mode, go to c:\program files\escan\log folder.
i Copy monvir.log file to some other location other than c:\program files\escan\log folder.
j Send that file to us at qa@mwti.net along with the steps you followed to reproduce the problem.

    Disable Kaspersky's Mail Checker which is integrated in Microsoft Outlook

    For MS-Outlook 2002/2003:

    In Outlook the add-in for “Kaspersky Mail Checker” is checked. Click Other -> Advanced Options -> Add-in Manager.

    In KAV Settings -> Configure Real-Time Protection -> Mail.
    DISABLE it.



    For MS-Outlook 2007:

    a. Open Microsoft Outlook.
    b. Goto Tools then Click on Trust Center
    c. Select Add-ins
    d. On the right-panel under "Manage" select "Exchange Client Extensions" and click on "Go"
    e. Uncheck the "AVP MailChecker" from the Add-In Manager list and click on OK.
