eScan - Troubleshooting
Q. When I enter the windows password login, the system automatically logoff and is back to the Login Window again.
The problem might be with userinit.exe not present under below two location 1. Check if userinit.exe file is present in %WinDir%\system32\ folder eg. C:\Windows\System32 2. Start the Windows registry. (you can refer to FAQ - How to start the windows registry editor?) Go to HKLM\Software\MicroSoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon On right side pane check for the entry and it should be present as given below: Userinit = C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe, Note: a comma should be present after the command line c:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe
Wait for 5 mins and then check if you are able to login to the machine.
