Q. When I deploy a second Scheduled Scanning Rule Set and selecting the Merge Option,from the eScan Management Console, the existing Schedules Scan rule gets overwritten by the new deployed rule?

Solution:

Merge Ruleset option under eScan Management Console is being used for merging the following

phrases.txt, 
include.dat, 
exclude.dat files. 
Groups.TXT
KidsGro.txt
TeenagerGro.TXT
AdolescentGro.TXT
AdultGro.TXT
Popup_WhiteList.txt

and not related to merging of ODS scanning or other features.
