Q. When I open my Outlook Express in Windows XP (SP3), my system hangs. In addition, the CPU utilization goes up to 100% for avpmapp.exe?
1. Close Outlook Express. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroWorld\eScan for Windows\MwMonitor\ProcExclusions (Refer: - FAQ - How to start the windows registry editor?) 3. Create a DWORD (if it is not existing). msimn.exe = DWORD 4. Set the value Value = 1 (Note: This will exclude the parent process) 5. In case the problem persists, set the value Value = 2 (Note: This will exclude both the parent and child processes) In both the cases: 6. Go to the Command prompt. Click on Start >> Run >> cmd
