Can I stop a blacklisted ip address from doing RCPT command. I have Mailscan for SMTP?
Solution:
Yes. To stop blacklisted ip address from doing RCPT command when using Mailscan for SMTP, follow the below steps:
1. Start the Windows registry (you can refer to FAQ - How to start the windows registry editor?)
2. In the registry key, "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microworld\MailScan for SMTP\SmtpServer1",
Check for the entry, "DropConnectionImmediatelyOnRuleFailure"
3. Change the value to 1
4. Restart the Mailscan for SMTP Service.
